Access to member information on our website is an important benefit of your membership.

This area is updated regularly with new and valuable information that has been developed by our Board members regarding retirement village issues, and when required, with specialist advice in the areas of finance and legislation.

Advice and Support:

Learn about the best ways to resolve a problem in your village through the knowledge of the RVRA Board and the RVRA’s association with the Seniors Rights Service (SRS), NSW Fair Trading or the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT), in relation to:

  • The Retirement Villages Act
  • Your village Residents Committee
  • With certain NCAT applications

Communication of Resident Views:

  • Through the RVRA’s representatives meeting with the Minister for Fair Trading and department staff.
  • With your Village Operators through both RVRA meetings and networking.

  • By accessing our comprehensive Information Sheets
  • Through our newsletter archives, and monthly news bulletin which keep members up-to-date with events and relevant information

Our newsletter has been replaced by the monthly news bulletin.

Notification of the news bulletin is emailed to members once a month, with snippets from the Board meeting and other timely information

  • On matters of village life beyond the Retirement Villages Act
  • Through educational seminars about the Retirement Village Legislation
  • From the RVRA website; which includes NCAT procedures and decisions and information for prospective and current retirement village residents

Village Visits:

NSW Retirement Villages can invite RVRA committee members to meet withresidents to present details of the work undertaken by the Association and topical issues within the industry.

All residents of the village are invited and welcome to attend.

After the session there is opportunity for non-members to join the association.
